Dr. Rafael Trindade Maia

Graduated in Biological Sciences from the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (2005), a Master’s Degree in Genetics, Conservation and Evolutionary Biology from the National Institute of Amazonian Research (2008) and a PhD in Animal Biology from the Federal University of Pernambuco (2013). He is currently a professor at the Center for the Sustainable Development of the Semi-Arid (CDSA) of the Federal University of Campina Grande (UFCG). Has experience with population genetics, bioinformatics, molecular docking, modeling and molecular dynamics of proteins.

He works in the area of science and biology education. Heleads the research groups Computational and Theoretical Biology (BCT) and Sciences and Biology Education (ECB).
